(2pm) Trip odometer - 72.1

Yeah, that was a long ass morning. I didn't sleep worth a damn last night either, so that sure didn't help the cause. All told, the $175 in stop pay for this run is more than fair. I just was not enjoying life much for quite a while in the process of actually earning the extra pay. Usually the $35 for an extra stop is just some quick easy cash. Actually working for a living was a definite change of pace.

I was dispatched to deliver in Plainfield by 6pm tomorrow, much to my relief. The original plan summary said 10am. I would have had to run until today's 14 hours were gone and then get cracking again after a ten hour break to make a 10am deadline. 6pm is much better, given the way today has left me feeling. I am one tired mofo.

I scooted about halfway across Missouri this afternoon and decided to call it a night in Columbia. Probably six hours or so left from here, I would guess. The delivery is a drop/hook so I should be able to take off in the morning and get rid of it a little early. One more load for the weekend should leave me in pretty good shape (if I can get one). Probably time to start working my way toward home at the beginning of next week. It would be best to find myself somewhere far away when that time comes.
